131101 - Youth Track Program
Does your child like to run? To race? Is he or she fast? Enjoy this lifetime activity and learn about running, jumping, throwing, and the 4 x 100 Relay. The emphasis in this program is on participating, learning, improving, and doing the best one can.
Track events include the 100, 200, and 400 meters for all grades, the 50 meter dash for 3rd and 4th graders, and the 800 meters and one mile for the 5th and 6th graders. Field events include the softball throw for distance, the standing broad jump for 3rd and 4th graders, and the running long jump for 5th and 6th graders. There is also the 4 x 100 meter relay race. The events are contested by grade; 3rd/4th grades together and 5th/6th grades together based on the current (’18-’19) school year.

The official skills competition of Major League Baseball comes to Concord again! Pitch, Hit, & Run Local competition provides youth across the country an opportunity to showcase their skills in an exciting baseball competition. Baseball and Softball competes separately. Pre-Registration is REQUIRED. Please register for PHR first through Concord Recreation, and then through PHR's website, www.mlb.com/pitch-hit-and-run. This FREE event will be held at Emerson Field.

131115 - Pickleball
Pickleball is exploding in Concord! This popular game combines the elements of tennis, badminton and table tennis, played with a paddle and a whiffle ball on a modified tennis court. Concord Recreation has lined two courts at Rideout Park for the game. These are FREE, informal sessions where players can meet up and play games. NO REGISTRATION REQUIRED FOR THE OUTDOOR PROGRAM.
131116 - Community Tennis Round Robin
Join us for our Community Round Robin Tennis this spring at the Emerson Tennis Courts. Each week participants will be assigned a match. Based on the number of signups, each team will play each other on a rotating basis. The goal is to offer a friendly yet competitive environment for players.
Divisions will be Women's, Men's, and Mixed Doubles depending on enrollment. This program is suggested for intermediate players rated 2.5-3.5.
The match format will be best two out of three sets, with a match tie break if sets are split. Tie break format will be determined by participants before start of play. Balls will be provided. Our goal is to provide great tennis and a great time.
131200 - Alcott Before School Sports
Alcott Before School Sports is a 6 week program open to Alcott School students, grades 3-5. In our first spring session of Before School Sports, we will be playing some favorite PE class games like "doink," "castle attack," along with other sports/games. Come join us and bring a friend to have some fun!
These sessions will start on Monday, March 4th, 2019 and will end on Wednesday, April 10th, 2019. There will be NO CLASS on Tuesday, April 2nd (K-5 Professional Day) This class will be made-up will be Friday, April 5th.
*PLEASE NOTE* In case of a delayed opening or school cancellation, we will not meet and classes will be rescheduled by Mr. Gaudreau.
131206 - NE Elite Flag Football Clinic
At NE Elite Flag Football, veteran coaches will be coaching young athletes in both drills and games, teaching the skills of football. Players are divided by age and skill. Athletes will showcase their talents in many games during the week. This fun and relaxed environment is a great way for any football fan to spend their April Break.

This program is the continuation course for Tennis 101. Participants will be introduced to new strokes as well as a complete review of the basics. New Strokes and match play strategy as well as tactics, training and match psychology will be discussed with the goal of getting students prepared for team/match play. Prerequisite: Tennis 101 or prior instruction.
