    561164 - Adult Water Polo

    18 years and up
    60- minutes class
    Prerequisite: Participant must be a competent swimmer. Must be able to swim 500 yards continuously in under 9 minutes and tread water continuously for 20 minutes. Class will consist of learning basic rules and play. Structure of class will be warm-up and drills followed by game play.

    561301 - Kids Night Out

    Bring your kids to the Beede Center for fully-supervised swimming, pizza, popcorn, movies and more. Participants will enjoy The Rock, Diving Boards, Beach Ball Water Polo and Relay Races in the pools. After swimming we have pizza and popcorn in the new Fitness Studio while watching a movie. The top lobby will feature board games as an alternative to the movie.

    If your child has an allergy or medical condition, please let us know. If your child requires medication a form must be filled out and the medication must be provided by the family. Children must be signed in and out.

    Open to Grades 4-8.
    $20 per participant (no refunds)

    May is National Water Safety Month! The American Red Cross and The Beede Center want to ensure that every member of your family becomes "water smart."
    Join the Beede Center Aquatic staff for a FREE Water Safety Event! Get ready for the summer swim season by learning key points to be safe in, on, and around the water!
    Schedule includes a fun land American Red Cross presentation for the kiddos complete with stickers and tattoos, Q&A about all things water with Program Manager Amanda Smith, level assessments in the water to find out your correct Red Cross Swim Level, and advanced Beede swim lesson registration onsite.
    Assessments and registration for White Pond lessons are also available!
    Being around a body of water all summer and not knowing how to swim can be scary for kids and parents. We'll give you the confidence and knowledge to become "water smart!"

    Floatation Belts are required.
    Come and learn about deep water exercises that will increase your postural awareness and abdominal strength. Find out how you can gain core stability with water exercises. Learn alternatives to your land-based exercise program. If you are a lap swimmer, you can do these for a few minutes while you are in the water. If you are a water exercise class participant you might benefit from some specific instruction that you can use in your classes. Please note that this is an introductory class only and is not meant to be a substitute for physical therapy. No handouts will be given to participants.
