    120300 - Shamrock Ball

    The Shamrock Ball is for girls in grades 2-6 and any adult guest. This event will take place at the Westford Regency and will be a semil-formal event.

    This program will be available for registration on Friday February 1, 2019 at 7:30am. Tickets are sold as a pair. One for the adult and one for the child. If you have other children there is a reduced fee of $25 for the 2nd, 3rd, etc child. When you register online please register the child(ren) only.

Participants use the basketball courts and playground as well as free swim in the pool. Combine AM and PM for a reduced price. Space is limited so sign up early. Participants in Extended AM and Concord River camp will be walked down to Alcott by staff at 8:45.

    251115 - Three Rivers Inclusion Program

    Concord Recreation and the Three Rivers Summer Inclusion Program welcomes children of all abilities to come join in on the fun! The Three Rivers Inclusion Program, a program running in collaboration with Camp Three Rivers, strives to provide participants of all abilities with a well-equipped environment in which behavioral support, activity adaptations and friendship facilitation are the main objectives. Same dates/times, ages, activities, and prices as listed within the Sudbury, Assabet and Concord River Camp. Participants must have an IEP to qualify for the inclusion program. Please register for one of the ten spots available per week in this program and the Recreation Department will place your child in the correct camp based on age. Once you have met with the Recreation Therapist for an intake assessment, we will register your child for the appropriate program and bill the household appropriately. Spots are limited, first come first serve basis.

    301113 - Adaptive Learn to Skate

    Instructor: Sharper Edge Skating School
    In this ice skating program, beginner skaters with disabilities will get comfortable on the ice while learning basic skating techniques. Each participant will have a 1:1 skating instructor if necessary, but will learn to skate in a small-group setting. Parents need not participate but are asked to remain on site. Skaters need their own single blade skates, a caged helmet, snow pants and gloves. Participants must be able to stand.

    Lessons are at Valley Sports Ice Arena, located at 2320 Main Street/ RT. 62 in West Concord.

    PLEASE NOTE: Rental skates are not available at Valley Sports Ice Arena. Participants must bring their own skates. Please also bring a helmet, gloves, snow pants, and any other equipment you see fit.

    322200 - Musical Theater Experience

    For over 20 years, Elaine Jarvis and the Musical Theater Experience staff have offered children the opportunity to learn and then perform for family and friends, an age appropriate version of both original and well know musicals. Emphasis is on building self-confidence and self-esteem. No auditions or experience is necessary and everyone gets a part, along with singing and dancing. The fall show this year is their adaptation of Annie!

    Thursday Cast 1: 3:40-4:50PM on Thursday from September 13th to November 15th. Their castís free performance will take place on Thursday, November 15th beginning at 4:45PM.

    Thursday Cast 2: 4:50-6:00PM on Thursdays from September 13th to November 15th. Their castís free performance will take place on Thursday, November 15th beginning at 6:00PM.

    Friday Cast 1: 3:40-4:50PM on Fridays from September 14th to November 16th. Their castís free performance will take place on Friday, November 16th beginning at 5:00PM.

    Friday Cast 2: 4:50-6:00PM on Fridays from September 14th to November 16th. Their castís free performance will take place on Friday, November 16th beginning at 6:00PM.

    Sign up online or in person beginning on Monday, August 27th at 7:30am. If you are planning on registering for this program, please try to register at this time as this program has sold out within minutes.

    1st casts meet directly after school. Musical Theater staff members will meet children enrolled in 1st casts who attend the school where the rehearsal is. Students will have a snack between dismissal and the start of the program.

    Please note that Alcott School is a tentative location for the fallís shows and is subject to change.

    322208 - Woodworking

    Woodworking is a fun way for kids to become inventors, think innovatively, develop math skills and understand mechanical and spatial relationships. This class is held in a woodshop where kids learn to safely use real hand tools and pine wood. Students get a chance to experiment with materials and choose a project to build. Through the building process, they learn how to work with wood and various tools including sandpaper, crosscut saws, coping saws, files, and hammers. Safety is always a top priority and stressed with every lesson. Closed toed shoes are required. Instructor: Jenny Sorblom.
