    122218 - New York 9/11 Museum Trip

    New York' 9/11 Memorial & Museum Trip includes admission to the 9-11 Memorial & Museum and visiting Rockefeller Center. Depart from Littleton Recreation, 33 Shattuck Street, on your luxury Silver Fox Motor Coach. A coffee/breakfast stop will be made as you travel to New York this morning. Upon arriving at Ground Zero in New York, your group will visit the 9-11 Memorial and Museum. The very powerful Memorial memorializes all those who died in the 9-11 terrorist attacks by listing their names on fountains placed where the original Towers stood. The National 9-11 Museum serves as the country's principal institution concerned with exploring the implications of the events of 9-11, documenting the impact of those events and exploring 9-11's continuing significance. You’ll later visit Rockefeller Center and midtown Manhattan to view the sights. Your expected arrival home will be 10:30 PM after a memorable day in New York, the Big Apple! Those under 18 must travel with an adult.

    200100 - Super Soccer Stars SHINE

    Super Soccer Stars Shine Program uses soccer as a vehicle to teach life skills to individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities including but not limited to, Autism Spectrum Disorders, Down Syndrome, ADHD and PDD-NOS. We work with a developmentally-appropriate curriculum designed by licensed educators and therapists that promotes the complete growth of each individual and encourages players to improve at his or her own pace. We use soccer to enhance peer interactions and provide a safe environment for players to increase social potential. Our low player-to-coach ratio ensures that individuals receive continuous support and personal attention.

    222100 - Festival Orchestra

    It is always great to continue to play your string instrument over the summer to maintain or improve your skill level. String musicians with at least one year or more of experience on their instrument are invited to participate in a 5-week workshop at the Hunt’s Gym. This mini summer camp is run by the Concord Recreation and parents can register their child online. You can sign your child up even if he/she will only be able to participate some of the time.

    PLEASE NOTE CHANGE IN DATES! The program will run over the course of five Tuesday evenings (July 24, 31, August 14, 21,28) taught by Mrs. Anderson. There will be a joint one hour rehearsal and a separate half hour lesson for each cohort. The cost for the five sessions is $75.

    Intermediate players 6:00 to 7:30pm
    Advanced players 6:30 to 8:00pm

Arriving in Portland, you'll board your ferry for a two hour narrated cruise of Casco Bay, its many islands and the beautiful Maine coast. Your cruise destination today is Bailey Island, where will have a delicious luncheon at the famous Cook's Lobster House (see menu below) which overlooks a spectacular view of Casco Bay and the world’s only Cribstone Bridge. Choose fresh seafood from the fantastic menu listed below. After lunch you will board the ferry for a return trip to Portland where you will have time on your own. You’ll return home this evening at approximately 6:30 PM after a delightful day in beautiful Downeast Maine! Cook's Luncheon Entrée Selections are Lobster Roll, Broiled Haddock Sandwich, Chicken Caesar Salad, or Grilled Sirloin. All served with rolls, coffee, tea, soda, and dessert.Those under 18 must travel with an adult.
